Reaching the conclusion of the series provides a real sense of accompishment: the student has learned and has shown evidence of having learned. Each activity is a prerequisite for the next one, and each activity automatically launches the next activity once a student has gained proficiency on the current topic.

Otherwise, we’d recommend you look at the Oakley Whisker sunglasses for a more classic design. Overall, we’d recommend the Savitar if you want an aggressive modern wire frame. And while we love Oakley’s innovation in pairs like the Kato and Over The Top (that quickly turn heads), we still prefer classic wire designs that can be worn to a wedding or BBQ. In our opinion, Wire frames are meant to be understated. Second, while we love the Savitar’s aggressive design, we still prefer the Whisker’s classic styling. While this will come down to personal preference, we felt that the Whisker fit better than the Savitar. While the hexagon-like lens shape of the Oakley Savitar is a fun aggressive for the wire family, we still prefer the Whisker over this pair for two main reasons.įirst, the Whisker has a larger lens wrap and curvature, meaning the frame seems to hug your face more than the Savitar. We’ve included the full dimensions below for reference: Oakley Savitar glasses are a medium-size frame that looks great on any face shape. See below for our complete list of the available colorways. Related: Oakley Jawbreaker Sunglasses | Review and Guideīut if you prefer to make more of a statement, Oakley also offers the Savitar in various colorways like Prizm Rose Gold, Prizm Tungsten, and more. Especially in a wire frame like the Savitar, the subdued color of Prizm Black meant we could wear these anywhere. Our pair included Prizm Black lenses, which we’ve already reviewed, but overall we loved them. Oakley Prizm Black lenses in the Savitar offer complete UV and glare protection plus contrast and color enhancing – Photo: eBay. Oakley really seems to be rolling out their Prizm technology to every frame (we’re not complaining) this year. The Savitar is available with Prizm lenses in every colorway. The unique shape of the Oakley Savitar lenses isn’t the only element getting us excited about this pair. Overall, the light weight combined with the Unobtainium earsocks for grip and silicone nosepads made us forget at times that we were even wearing the Savitar. We dropped our Savitar sunglasses a few times throughout the week and had no issues whatsoever. Plus, you don’t need to sacrifice durability with this wire frame. Especially for a wire frame, this bold design stands out amongst the crowd.īut the lines are still subtle enough that this frame will look good on just about anyone.Īnd with a frame made of lightweight titanium, like most other Oakley metal frames, this frame is comfortable. The first thing you notice about the Savitar sunglasses is the aggressive angular lines. We’re guessing someone over at Oakley Headquarters is a Flash comics fan and wanted to have fun with this one. The name Savitar appears to be inspired by the fictional supervillain from DC Comics that first appeared in a flash of the same name. Finally, in March 2021, the Savitar debuted on Oakley’s website. The Oakley Savitar first appeared online in late December 2020, when images of the frame leaked online. Where to Buy Oakley Savitar Sunglasses?.Are Savitar Prescription Lenses available?. For engineers coming from the rich ecosystems of testing frameworks such as Jasmine, rspec, and Cedar there was a need for a comprehensive testing framework with a mature set of matchers in Go. At the time (and, arguably, to this day) the landscape of Go's testing infrastructure was somewhat anemic. A sprawling distributed system, originally written in Ruby, that was slowly migrating towards the emerging distributed systems language of choice: Go. Specifically, Pivotal was one of the lead contributors to Cloud Foundry. The first commit to Ginkgo was made by on August 19th, 2013 (to put that timeframe in perspective, it's roughly three months before Go 1.2 was released!) Ginkgo came together in the highly collaborative environment fostered by Pivotal, a software company and consultancy that advocated for outcome-oriented software development built by balanced teams that embrace test-driven development. Like all software projects, Ginkgo was written at a particular time and place to solve a particular set of problems. If you just want to dive straight in, feel free to jump ahead! This section captures some of Ginkgo's history and motivation. These docs are written assuming you are familiar with Go and the Go toolchain and that you are using Ginkgo V2 (V1 is no longer supported - see here for the migration guide). We suggest starting here to build a mental model for how Ginkgo works and understand how the Ginkgo DSL can be used to solve real-world testing scenarios. The narrative docs you are reading here are supplemented by the godoc API-level docs. In reality, Ginkgo is a general purpose testing framework in active use across a wide variety of testing contexts: unit tests, integration tests, acceptance test, performance tests, etc. Ginkgo is sometimes described as a "Behavior Driven Development" (BDD) framework. When combined, Ginkgo and Gomega provide a rich and expressive DSL ( Domain-specific Language) for writing tests. It is best paired with the Gomega matcher library. Ginkgo is a testing framework for Go designed to help you write expressive tests. If the plug-ins need to be tweaked or changed, just “unfreeze” the track. For as long as the track remains “frozen,” its plug-ins will be disabled and the temporary audio file will be played, thus saving system resources and still allowing adjustments to the track fader, sends, and pan. Some DAWs offer a “freeze” function, which renders a track’s signal-after the plug-ins, but before the fader-as a temporary audio file. This is more CPU-efficient than inserting the same EQ plug-in on each of the four vocal tracks. Obviously, one plug-in uses less CPU power than four would. Since all four vocals are going through one aux track, the EQ plug-in on the aux track effects all four vocals. For example, the Equalizer in iZotope’s Ozone has an Oversampling feature, which will increase quality at the cost of more CPU power (see below). Some plug-ins have selectable modes that simultaneously impact CPU usage and audio quality. Adjust CPU-related settings inside plug-ins A plug-in streaming cache might reserve more RAM for sample loading in plug-ins, but leave less RAM for video handling. Be careful with these! A disk cache would use more RAM for playback of audio files, but leave less RAM for plug-ins. Yes, there are exceptions, such as when you need to reserve power for another open program.Ĭache options often deal with RAM access. In theory, higher processor allocation settings are good because they allow your DAW to access more CPU power. However, in a typical DAW-based mix, it shouldn’t be a problem as long as your DAW’s delay compensation can handle it and you aren’t syncing to video. Should you worry about latency? When you’re tracking and/or using virtual instruments, yes. Generally, a larger buffer will allow you to run more plug-ins and tracks, but at the expense of higher latency. Let's see what the process looks like on a Mac. Seeing the CPU load helps you figure out what is taxing the CPU the most and determine if you’re getting close to the “danger zone.” It’s possible to see CPU usage at the operating system level and at the application level (within your DAW). It sure would be helpful if you could see the CPU load. Sometimes, a plug-in or process with a moderate average CPU load will induce random spikes in CPU activity, which although brief, may result in an error message. Since there are many variables even in each of those areas, it isn’t safe to assume that one is always going to tax the CPU more than another. The most likely suspects are plug-ins, other open programs, high track counts, and automation. Precious session time is easily burned in the process of trying to find the culprit. Plus, it’s a real vibe killer when you have clients in the room. When this happens, your ability to be productive is impeded, and your desire to create is destroyed. Sessions can be sailing right along-you’re adding tracks and plug-ins with not a problem in sight-then out of nowhere, the unforgiving iceberg of reality cracks the hull of your creative vessel and leaves you stranded. You know the pain and frustration the curse brings. Yes, it : the dreaded curse of CPU overload. DAW life really is remarkable, until… it happens. They provide us with unbelievable power and flexibility for composing, recording, editing, mixing, and mastering, and they serve and spark our creativity. "The pilot appears to have had knowledge of the operating hours of Sabang and Lhokseumawe radar and that on a weekend night, in times of little international tension the radar systems would not be up and running." "The flight path follows the coast of Sumatra and flies close to Banda Aceh Airport. "The pilot of MH370 generally avoided official flight routes from 18:00 UTC (2:00am AWST) onwards but used waypoints to navigate on unofficial flight paths in the Malacca Strait, around Sumatra and across the Southern Indian Ocean," he said. The findings are largely consistent with previous analysis of the plane's satellite data and of the location of floating debris from the plane, which also suggest it crashed into the southern Indian Ocean.īut Mr Godfrey's research suggests the pilot had changed direction and speed multiple times to avoid giving any clear idea where he was heading. His analysis points to a crash site at 34.5 degrees south, south-west of Western Australia, near the imaginary line known as the "seventh arc" - which shows possible locations of the plane at the time of its seventh satellite "ping". Mr Godfrey - seen as one of the world's leading investigators of the MH 370 disappearance - invented his own aviation tracking system known as GDTAAA (Global Detection and Tracking any Aircraft Anywhere Anytime) to analyse these WSPR signals every two minutes over the specific period that MH370 was in the air, in March 2014. He says these radio signals can be used in conjunction with data sent from the Malaysian Airlines plane to Britain's Inmarsat satellite, to help solve the mystery of MH370. "WSPR is like a bunch of tripwires or laser beams, but they work in every direction over the horizon to the other side of the globe," Mr Godfrey says. He says any plane - commercial, private or military - will set off invisible "electronic tripwires" as they cross these signals, which can then be used to trace their location. Instead, the pilot Zaharie Ahmad Shah had made numerous turns and changed speed to avoid commercial flight routes and leave "false trails" on unofficial routes around the western end of Indonesia and the Indian Ocean.Īerospace engineer Richard Godfrey - a member of the so-called Independent Group of Scientists set up to try to solve the MH370 mystery - says global tracking of aircraft is possible using weak radio signals that cover the globe, known as WSPR, or the "weak signal propagation report" network. The film also offers the government’s take and even features an interview with Jeff Wise, a science journalist and author of The Plane That Wasn’t There: Why We Haven’t Found MH370.The research indicates the Boeing 777 crashed around 34.5 degrees south, which aligns with previous searches for the plane, but that its flight path was "significantly different" from earlier theories based on satellite data. Image credit: Screenshot/Netflix trailer/MH370: The Plane That Disappeared ‘MH370: The Plane That Disappeared’: Why you should watch it and when will it premiere?Īs mentioned above, perhaps the most important aspect of the documentary has to do with the questions raised by the family members of the victims. The Netflix documentary will talk about these conspiracy theories, ask important questions, give logical interpretations of the sequence of events and, most importantly, offer the valuable perspective of the family members affected by the tragedy. As many questions remain unanswered even nine years after the incident, there have been many controversial conspiracy theories that have popped up. MH370: The Plane That Disappeared, directed by Louise Malkinson, will attempt to answer the biggest questions surrounding the ill-fated flight’s disappearance in 2014. Image credits: Twitter/Netflix What is the story behind the disappearance of Flight MH370? “Someone knows the answer - the question is who”, asserts the hard-hitting trailer of the documentary which also features family members, scientists and investigative journalists trying to unravel the mystery behind the flight’s disappearance. Well, Netflix is trying to answer that difficult question with its new documentary titled ‘ MH370: The Plane That Disappeared‘. So, the question arises: What really happened to Malaysia Airlines Flight 370? Even today, nine years after the disappearance, no one can explain how or why the plane disappeared. Despite extensive search and rescue operations involving multiple countries, no signs of wreckage or survivors were found. The flight, which had 227 passengers and 12 crew members on board, mysteriously vanished over the South China Sea shortly after takeoff. In 2014, Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 took off from Kuala Lumpur for Beijing Capital International Airport in China. Tanjiro Kamado’s Song is the ending song of the legendary Episode 19 that was sung by the talented Nami Nakagawa, who’s worked with Go Shiina in the past on the ending theme of Gyo: Tokyo Fish Attack (OAV). One of the most popular songs in the Demon Slayer OST is the soundtrack for one of the greatest moments that surrounded Episode 19 along with the music that takes it to a whole new level. A point that is highly praised about the Demon Slayer’s OST. Sometimes, without even seeing anything, the tone of the song immediately with the invisible atmosphere the musicians manage to create. None of the songs follow the same pace for very long, they always add in more instruments, a clash of cymbal or background opera singers that will suddenly change up the tone completely. One of the greatest talents of the OST is how the songs can almost take the listener on a journey. Gradually, they begin to add in more elements to make the music swell, making it more complex and enhancing the singer’s beautiful voice than when the songs initially starts, but continue to have a controlled energy that gives every song on the soundtrack and grandiose aura to it. The songs almost have a god-like quality to them. Many of the OST starts innocent and soft, some slow with the sound of a piano or violin. With guitar solos or an artist letting loose on the drums. The beauty of it is in it’s slow pacing, calm-tone, and build up. The Demon Slayer anime series and accompanying soundtrack are epic, but not in the way many fans would first expect. Especially with the release of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train coming out in Summer 2020. With such an emotional and impactful OST, fans hope that more series with Go Shiina and Yuki Kajiura match-ups will happen again in the future. Unlike, Go Shiina, Kajiura started in making movie soundtracks in 1995 like Ruby Fruit before getting into anime series and video games soundtracks before composing five of the series’ most important songs like the “Kimetsu no Taiba” main theme, To Destroy the Evil, Brace Up and Run!, Survive and Get the Blade, Boy, and Voices from the Past. Yuki Kajiura is another well-known musician, composer, and producer for many popular anime series like Fate/Zero, Sword Art Online, and Puella Magi Madoka Magica. Shiina started making songs and music arrangements for anime shows like Gyo: Tokyo Fish Attack, Tales of Zestiria, and then Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba alongside Yuki Kajiura. Masaru Shiina, goes by the name Go Shiina and started back in 1998, making tracks and theme songs for video games like Hammer Champ, Idolmaster, as well as Tekken 5, 6, and 7 before his talents started to get noticed, especially in the soundtrack of God Eater. The two composers and music producers that made the music in the series possible were the two heavyweights in the anime community, Go Shiina and Yuki Kajiura respectively. Kimetsu no Yaiba (Demon Slayer) OST Composers Whether Tanjiro and the group is racing through a forest, Nezuko fighting with her demon-nature, or beloved Demon Slayers fighting Spider Demon Family in the Natagumo Mountains, the soundtrack strengthens these moments and takes it to another level. Old fans and new fans alike have, no doubt, played “Gurenge” by LiSa and “From the Edge by FictionJunction feat. The animation, the humour, the charming characters, and the series’ phenomenal original soundtrack. Kimetsu no Yaiba (Demon Slayer) is an extraordinary manga and anime series that has gotten traction the moment the first episode came out and even non-anime fans couldn’t help but take notice.
